About MedicareBrackets.com
Learn how MedicareBrackets verifies figures, labels estimates and builds independent, private retirement calculators. Read our editorial policy.
Independent explanations for retirement decisions
MedicareBrackets is an independent educational website for people connecting Medicare premiums, Social Security benefits and retirement savings. Our editorial team aims to make official figures easier to use without presenting a calculator result as a personal recommendation. We are not affiliated with the U.S. government or an insurance company.
How we verify and update figures
We keep financial figures in shared data files. A figure carries a value, source and status. Official records cite the responsible agency; estimates retain their qualification wherever they appear. Unknown values stay empty in the data and display “Not yet released.” Our sources register lists the verification dates actually recorded. An absent date means we have not recorded an independent verification of that item.
We prioritize SSA, CMS, IRS, OPM and VA publications. A third-party projection is never relabeled as an official announcement. When an agency publishes new information, the record, source and related explanations should be reviewed together. Calculator tests protect boundary rules and unavailable-data behavior.
Calculators, translations and editorial responsibility
The 2027 IRMAA brackets and the retirement savings calculator share the same data and mathematics in English and Spanish. Retirement returns and inflation are adjustable assumptions. Agency notices, plan documents and qualified professional advice take priority over a simplified illustration.
Advertising and corrections
Reserved spaces labeled “Advertisement” are layout placeholders. No advertising script is currently included. Any future advertising must be disclosed and kept separate from the data-verification process. Advertising does not make an estimate official.
Editorial contact: [email protected]. Send corrections with the page address and the relevant agency source. Do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive information.
Educational, not financial advice. Confirm benefit, Medicare and tax figures with the responsible agency.
